Living a real life here on earth while keeping our heart in heaven works out something like this, doesn’t it? When we are faced with a choice, we could make one choice if this were the only life ever. But we make another choice because we know there is a life after this, and that our choices here have consequences not only here but also for our life in heaven which is to come.

Isn’t this what all those guys in Heb.11 did? Their eyes were not on earthly benefits but on heavenly values. The life they lived here was real enough, but it was the heavenly life that was yet to come that made them to make their choices.
